Norway Ice
Winter 2008, Norway Ice based in Rjukan.
Rjukan is situated in Southern Norway, 180km north west of Torp airport and is gaining a reputation for great ice climbing. Rjukan and the surrounding valleys host something in the region of 140 ice falls ranging from Scottish grade II to VI+. Short walkins ensure time can be spent improving your technique before "cranking up" the classic multi pitch routes.
The climbing season - from December til April with the best conditions from mid January to mid March.
Minimum level of experience - winter walking/mountaineering/rock climbing and a reasonable level of fitness.
Included in the price - 5 days quality guiding/instruction, transport to and from Oslo Torp airport and cabin style accomodation. Shorter trips can also be arranged.
