
X2 - Rock Climb & Scramble
Rock Climb & Scramble in the same weekend! This is a new course with different bases giving a variety of venues in the East & West of Scotland. Learn the basics of rock climbing outside on real rock or consolidate your indoor climbing skills outside. These basic skills will then be transferred into the mountains on some great scrambles in both the East and West. Scrambling is a fantastic way to get to the top of the mountain the "interesting" way through ground where the contours, outcrops and crags all come together. Lots of skills covered in 2 fantastic days.
Pre requisites - possible hill walking and indoor climbing but not essential

Possible Weekend Itineries
Cairngorm X2 - High access can be gained from the ski car park and after a short walk Twin Ribs and the Fiacaill Ridge gives 2 scrambles before finishing on the Cairngorm Plateau. Lots of single pitch rock climbing venues in and near by Strathspey, Kingussie crag, Huntleys Cave crag, Cummingston or Duntelchaig Pinnacle Rock. Base yourself in and around Aviemore or Grantown On Spey for the Strathspey experience.
Fort William X2 - Glen Nevis is 5 minutes from Fort William and gives very quick short access to numerous single pitch rock climbing crags. In and around Fort William and close by in Glencoe there is a vast array of scrambles from short road side to classics like Curved Ridge on the Buachaille Etive Mor in Glencoe. Base yourself in and around Fort William for the West Coast feel.
